Lastly, if the Sourcerer has failed any of their persuasion checks they can still gain all the armor by digging up a buried chest at 605 by 235. Now armed with the full set, the wearer will gain the Comeback Kid trait and the ability to Charm in combat. The Sourcerer will have to pass another persuasion check before receiving the Captain's Jaunty Hat and Captain's Dextrous Heels. In the cave, the Sourcerer can gain the last two pieces of the armor set. Simply, take Beast along in the party and he will get a special dialogue to yell at the door until it opens. If the Sourcerer brought the soul jar, inside the chest will be the Captain's Log with a code for the door of a cave at 600 by 195 northeast of the beach where the winter dragon is chained. If not, they can take it from his body alongside the rest of the Captain's armor set.
If the Sourcerer passes the check they can then trade the soul jar for his coat. This will require the main character to pass another plus two persuasion check or deal with five enemies summoned by the Captain. If one of the Sourcerers casts Bless on the chest it will remove the curse and allow them to access the chest.Ĭaptain Sech will reveal himself and threaten the character attempting to open the chest. This is another shoreline area with several more crashed ships. Eventually, this will lead the Sourcerer to a point on the map around 532 by 20. Make sure to grab the hand before heading in the direction it points.Īs the Sourcerer travels throw the arm down periodically to ensure they are heading the right direction. Once freed, the arm will wriggle about before pointing deeper into the Hollow Marshes. If passed, this check will allow the Sourcerer to pull the arm free from the sand.
Otherwise, the Sourcerer will be sent back to the Vault to go get his soul jar.Īfter finding the skeletal arm in the sand, the Sourcerer will have to pass a persuasion check-in either strength or finesse.
This will ensure that the Sourcerer can find a note that will lead to the Captain's secret cave. Before starting this quest, send the Sourcerer into Braccus Rex's Vault and retrieve the soul jar for a man by the name of Captain Sech Zapor.
